Q&A with Dr. Geo - Advanced ADT Support

Posted by on

This next portion of my recent conversation with Dr. Geo focuses on Advanced ADT Support.

David: Geo, let’s discuss Advanced ADT Support. How is it different than Advanced Prostate Support?

Dr. Geo: Great question. Advanced ADT Support is a complement to Advanced Prostate Support. It is not a substitute. It is designed for men who are about to undergo or have recently undergone hormone deprivation therapy as a treatment for their prostate cancer.

The acronym "ADT" means "androgen deprivation therapy." It involves an injection of a drug that suppresses the production of testosterone in the body. The concept is that certain prostate cancer cells are hormone-sensitive, and that choking off the "fuel supply" of testosterone will retard or reverse the progression of the disease.

Advanced Prostate Support is the foundation to every regimen that I prescribe to my clinical patients who have prostate cancer. On top of this foundation, I add items that make best sense for each individual patient. For men whose treatment plan includes ADT, I prescribe Advanced Prostate Support and Advanced Prostate Support together. In other words, these men will take one packet of each per day.

David: Specifically, how does Advanced ADT Support benefit men who are undergoing hormone deprivation therapy?

Dr. Geo: In my clinical practice, my patients who have undergone ADT report side effects such as "brain fog" and loss of muscle tone. Once again, these men no longer enjoy normal testosterone levels.

To combat the reported "brain fog," Advanced ADT Support helps to support and protect brain function with powerful ingredients such as Phosphatidylserine, Acetyl L-Carnitine, and Ginko Biloba Leaves.*

To combat the erosion of both muscle tone and bone density, Advanced ADT Support delivers critical ingredients such as CoQ10, Carnitine, Calcium, and Magnesium.* I also encourage these men to add weight training to their exercise routines.

David: Hormone deprivation therapy is a truly disorienting experience for men. Without hesitation, men with prostate cancer will do what is necessary to keep this disease at bay. As such, I am pleased that we have something designed to help these men overcome the side effects of this form of treatment.*

Dr. Geo: Yes, although ADT is an effective treatment, it is not without its costs. We are striving to lower that cost.
